The myths and the facts
We people always have some complications in everything that's why things we do gets complicated too. Likewise, most people still follow a traditional myth which sometimes may look like they live in their world of fantasy. Though they understand whatever they think is a myth, it’s hard for them to accept. This article is sharing a few facts on the myths which people still believe in. I hope this article can help them to run out of the world of fantasy and accept the fact that remains hidden.
DO HUMAN USE ONLY 10% OF THEIR BRAIN?
The human brain is active all time. There is no switch ON and OFF button in our brain to control its usage. Though mythically the brain is used only 10% by a human, it depends on how much work he assigns to his brain every day. If a man is active in meeting his daily basis then absolutely his brain is busy all day and vice versa. Learning new things every day and recollecting the happenings from the past holds the brain to be active. A human brain is also active when a person is in deep sleep or resting. Therefore, the percentage of brain usage differs for every individual according to his activities.
WILL LINE IN YOUR WRISTS CAN DETERMINE YOUR FUTURE?
Most of us had come across the faith in palm reading in our lives. Don’t we? So wrist line determination also falls under the palm reading category. We have heard people telling that every single line guarantees thirty years of life and if those lines break up in between then a person should take extra care of his lifestyle. Don’t you think this will mentally disturb a person who has a broken bracelet line running through his wrist? In case if this is true, a person can determine and design his future by himself.
Wrist lines are actually occurred denote the age of a person and not his lifetime. Its important role is to predict the health problems and it also helps a human to understand that he is growing older every day. Hence, the lines in your wrists that can determine your future or personality is a total myth
ARE BULLS SENSITIVE TO THE COLOUR RED?
Some people still insist us not to directly face a bull when we are dressed up in a red-coloured suit. Basically a bull is a partially colour-blind animal that can’t sense or recognize the colour red. Mostly in cows, goat, buffalo and other cattle the red retina receptor is absent, so that they can recognize only green, yellow, blue and relatively violet-coloured objects. We human being have three types of cone cells. Among them, one helps in discovering red colour, the other in discovering the colour green and the third is to detect blue. But it’s not the same in a bull’s case. For a bull, red colour may seem to be a yellow-grey coloured object. So bulls aren’t angry about the colour red and its t myth.
ARE ELEPHANTS SCARED OF MICE?
People still wonder how can tiny mice scare a big fat elephant? And the main thing is, people still believe that a tiny mouse can scare an elephant. According to Josh Plotnik, research of elephant behaviour and intelligence at the University of Cambridge in England, “ It’s not that a mouse scars an elephant but the dogs, the cats, or any small animal that make a sudden move by the elephant's feet can frighten it”. From his statement, we can make out that elephants also stammer if they are exposed to the sound of a barking dog.
Moreover, elephants have poor eyesight to notice the tiny animals. Mice can climb the trunk of an elephant to reach its nose, but in a single blow, an elephant can drop it back to the ground. So the elephants are not scared of mice alone but also other tiny animals that can climb up on their trunk to frighten them.
CONCLUSION
The above myths sometimes feed people’s satisfaction, on the other hand, they also lead them to a state of mental depression. Maybe our ancestors had some reasoning with these myths during their period but living in the world of computers where reality sounds more than fantasy we people must appreciate in trusting the facts rather than believe myths that rehashing us still date.
